Melanie Murphy Miller, Miss Ohio 2006

 

Melanie Murphy Miller is the newest member of the CW family. Melanie is a writer, producer and on-air personality and is the local host of Better Cleveland.

 

A singer, dancer, and model, Melanie has spent the last several years criss-crossing the state of Ohio sharing her talents with people of all generations. A former professional NBA dancer for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Melanie was crowned Miss Ohio in 2006, and represented Ohio at the 2007 Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada.

 

Melanie served as a celebrity host, reviewing movies and interviewing guests on Time Warner Cable’s Another Look. She has appeared in numerous radio and television commercials promoting a variety of products and causes including Cleveland State University’s Image Campaign, Career and Technical Schools of Ohio, Playhouse Square Center & Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital’s Family Series, Steel Stretch fitness products and Catan Fashions.

 

Melanie co-hosted the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon and the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon.

 

Melanie has also been a presenter at numerous churches around Ohio, where she ministers to others by sharing her testimony and her love for Jesus Christ. Melanie currently serves as the Youth Ministries Coordinator for The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Ashland, Ohio.

 

Melanie has a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media and Film Production with a minor in Journalism from Cleveland State University.

 

Melanie resides in Ashland, Ohio with her husband Matt.
