The news from West Beverly High just keeps getting better! As if Shannen Doherty’s return to 90210 isn’t dramatic enough, the series just signed Kellan Lutz as a recurring lacrosse jock and Meghan Markle as the school’s sexy vixen. Kellan has a rabid online fanbase, and is poised for phenom status when his Twilight film hits theatres in December. He plays “Emmett Cullen,” part of a unique vampire coven in the first movie based on Stephenie Meyer’s popular series of novels. Released in 2005, Twilight sat atop the New York Times Best Seller list for 11 straight weeks! The main characters are hot teens and young adults, and fans of the books are near delirium awaiting the big premiere—in fact, anticipation is so great, Twilight is the featured cover story of the latest Entertainment Weekly hitting newsstands today. It’s funny, but I never thought of myself (or the other Kellan fans I know) as “rabid.” Funnily enough, Kellan’s fans are generally known as the “hippies” amongst Twilight fans cuz they tend to be more mellow and laid back.
I WILL admit to now having to check out 90210 because he’ll be on it, when I had no plans to watch this version in the first place. So I guess the CW knew what it was doing in THAT respect.
Either way, it’s great to see him getting more attention because he totally deserves it!

As one of the fearless leaders of the KELLMETTEERS ( yes, Kellan fans have a name, kellmetteers) I’d like to say, oh come on we are not rabid
, sure we are part of the Twilight fandom ( some of us ) which is a little crazy, but well we have our own branch of said fandom, and we are pretty laid back, we love Kellan ad we will support any and all of his projects, because he’s just that great.
Thanks for posting about him! It’s nice to see him getting some expousre, he totally deserves it.

But seriously, it’s nice to see articles about him since most other news just forget him which isn’t fair. And yeah things are gonna take off after Twilight but he totally deserves it. And he’s really nice to his fans and goes out of his way to let us know how much he appreciates the support. So rather than rabid I think we’re just really loyal because he’s always so nice to his fans.
But we’re totally the hippies.

lol Of all the things I’ve never been called rabid before, that is a first. If it takes us to be rabid to get him talked about then, so be it, Kellan just rocks and he should get more news for him cause he is just awesome.
I’ll take rabid cause I think its funny all the names us fans get for our interest in awesome people

I’m so glad you did an article on Kellan! We aren’t so rabid as the rest of the Twilight Fans, but maybe that’s because we don’t bite (not that hard).

It’s so awesome to finally see Kellan getting some exposure! He’s a great actor and an all around great guy, he treats his fans like royalty, I guess thats part of the reason we are all called Kellmetteers and he’s our princess.
