When Jericho returned from the TV graveyard with seven fresh Season Two episodes, the series gave some semblance of closure to a few storylines. However, we never learned enough about the shadowy conspiracy behind the large-scale nuclear attack on major U.S. cities, Cheyenne’s rebel government takeover bid, or what ultimately happened to Jake, Robert and the residents of Jericho. Those stories will now be told in illustrated print, as Devil’s Due Publishing has partnered with the show’s original producers to distribute all-new Jericho comic books. “We’re so thrilled about the endless possibilities for the future,” co-exec producer Dan Shotz said. “We plan to give fans the story they’ve been craving. This is going to be epic stuff.” Earlier this year, plans were also announced for a big-screen feature film, so there’s still plenty of interest in the gripping post-Apocalyptic tale.

While it’s not nearly as exciting or fulfilling as a Season 3 would be yes, I am excited about the comic and about seeing how more of the story unfolds. Hopefully this will be a stepping stone to bigger and better things, such as a network or cable pick up, a movie or both.
