Each TV season brings a cavalcade of new faces, some of which are welcomed as series regulars—while others are quickly driven off by vocal fans. Take Aaron Rose, for instance. The greasy artist was toast from the moment he wooed Serena, and Gossip Girl abruptly ended his stay after six episodes. Conversely, ‘dream angel’ Castiel had the audience immediately begging for more on Supernatural. Did any newbies click with you this past year? One Tree Hill introduced Sam and Julian, with the latter returning for Season 7. Smallville raised the stakes with Tess and Davis/Doomsday; while the Winchester boys dealt with secretly-evil Ruby 2.0 and Reaper hooked Ben up with kooky demon Nina. Aside from Castiel, no two characters changed the tone of a drama like the infusion of Liam and Jen into 90210. These two rebels rode into Beverly Hills with guns-a-blazin’ and antics that leave you gasping and laughing at the same time. Overall, it was an entertaining year for the CW rookies. Your thoughts?
