Alcohol-related crashes are the leading cause of death for

Scenes from event
WBNX was proud to sponsor the 8th Annual Portage County None 4 Under 21 Rally held at Hiram College on April 20, 2010.

High school seniors from surrounding counties gathered to hear presentations about the dangers of underage drinking, as well as drinking and driving. Speakers included alcohol-related victims, offenders, and friends or relatives who had lost loved ones from alcohol-related crashes.

The event also featured stirring true-to-life scenes depicting the consequences of drinking and driving: a car crash including law enforcement, emergency rescue personnel, and a funeral and graveside service.

In a pre-event contest, students from participating area high schools were encouraged to design and create their own "Don't Drink and Drive" message on a banner. Banners were displayed at the N4U21 event. Winning schools were awarded with grant money for alcohol-free prom and graduation activities.
