save a buddy...Keys pleez! Elk & Elk

WBNX was proud to sponsor the 6th Annual Portage County None 4 Under 21 Rally held at the Kent State University MAC Center on April 23, 2008.

High School Seniors gathered to hear presentations about the dangers of underage drinking, as well as drinking and driving. WBNX TV’s Melanie Murphy emceed the event and sang the National Anthem. Speakers include alcohol-related crash victims, a prisoner incarcerated for vehicular homicide, and a bereaved parent.

In a pre-event contest sponsored by Elk & Elk, students from participating area high schools were encouraged to design and created their own "don't drink and drive" message on a banner. Banners were displayed at the N4U21 event. Winning schools were awarded with grant money from for alcohol-free prom and graduation activities.
