The premise of Are you Smarter Than a 5th Grader? is adult contestants try to answer grade school questions with the help of their 5th Grader "classmates." The questions are taken from elementary school textbooks. During the game, the adult can get help from a kid in answering the questions.

Jeff Foxworthy is one of the most respected and successful comedians in the country. A true jack-of-all-trades, Foxworthy has found significant success in television, film, recorded comedy and literature. His act goes well beyond his famed redneck jokes to explore the humor in everyday family interactions and human nature.
In 2004, Foxworthy starred in and executive-produced the television series Blue Collar TV, following the success of Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie. Foxworthy’s Big Night Out, a 2006 sketch comedy series, gave him a new platform to showcase his all-American comedy. Foxworthy has also voiced roles in films such as Racing Stripes and The Fox and the Hound 2.
In addition to his success in television and film, Foxworthy is the largest-selling comedy-recording artist in history. His albums "You Might Be A Redneck If..." and "Games Rednecks Play" have been RIAA-certified triple platinum. In 2000, the soundtrack for Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie was RIAA-certified gold, and his solo comedy CD Have Your Loved Ones Sprayed or Neutered debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard comedy charts. He has been nominated for a Grammy Award five times, including a 2006 nomination for Blue Collar Comedy Tour: One for the Road.
Foxworthy’s talents also extend to the literary world. He has had more than 22 books published, and in 2005 he penned Jeff Foxworthy’s Redneck Dictionary: Words You Thought You Knew the Meaning Of. The popular book ranked No. 2 on the New York Times Bestseller List, paving the way for two more editions. His children's book "Dirt On My Shirt" was released in 2008.
Away from the spotlight, Foxworthy is a supporter of Duke University Children’s Hospital in Durham, NC. With his help, the hospital, which specializes in treating children with cancer, has raised tens of millions of dollars over the past ten years to help children and families in need.
This Georgia native remains true to his Southern roots and lives with his wife and two daughters in Atlanta.

Stan Lee, the 87-year-old creator of Marvel Comics superheroes Spiderman and X-Men, will guest star in the Oct. 7 episode of Nikita. The new CW spy thriller premieres Thursday, Sep. 9 after The Vampire Diaries.
Devon Sawa (Little Giants, Final Destination) is also slated for a guest role, playing a dangerous Division nemesis of rogue assassin Nikita (Maggie Q).
Lois Lane will finally reunite with her family this season on Smallville. Her father (Michael Ironside) and sister Lucy (Peyton List) breeze into town in episode 7.
18 to Life may return this winter to The CW. Executive producer Arnie Gelbart tells TV Series Finale the network “intends to air the remaining six episodes in December” and is also interested in the comedy’s second season, now in production.
