Harry Wilson, new principal of West Beverly Hills High School, returns from Kansas to his childhood home of Beverly Hills with his wife Debbie, their daughter Annie and adopted son Dixon, to care for Harry’s mother, former television star Tabitha Wilson. On their first day at West Bev, Annie and Dixon encounter Ethan, the star lacrosse player she met a few summers ago; Naomi, the spoiled rich girl whose sole focus is her Sweet Sixteen party; Silver, the free-spirited girl who later gossips about Annie on her blog, and Navid, editor of Blaze News. When Naomi fails to complete an assignment, English teacher Ryan Matthews and guidance counselor Kelly Taylor, bring the problem to Harry, who quickly realizes that keeping secrets about his past is going to be impossible.
When Gilmore Girls premiered back in the Fall of 2000, I was (foolishly) determined to avoid adding another so-called ‘chick show’ to my Felicity and Buffy regimen. But a co-worker had snagged a screener copy and implored me to check it out. I wound up calling her halfway thru the episode to say how brilliant [...]
We got our first look at the 90210/Privileged pairing last night, and aside from the ‘family bowling night’ plot wedged into the first hour, this promises to be a solid evening of drama and quirky comedy for a long time. The CW can credit two blonde actresses for much of the success. While I didn’t [...]
Watching this week’s series premiere of 90210, I became very appreciative that Shannen Doherty agreed to reprise her role as ‘Brenda Walsh’ fourteen years after she unceremoniously left the original zip. Few TV actresses are as compelling and addictive—her talents elevated the first three seasons of Charmed—and this four-episode stint was a big score for [...]
Sunday nights will be laced with biting comedy. That’s my first impression after watching The CW Fall Preview Show, which airs twice this coming weekend. Hosted by Privileged stars Joanna Garcia and Anne Archer, the half-hour special gives an overview of our seven new network series—including a first peek at the Sunday lineup, where laughter [...]
Dustin Milligan has as much off-the-wall personality as any actor on The CW. This fall he’ll play star jock “Ethan” on 90210, but last night he was again featured on the reality/farce Ghostfacers episode of Supernatural, where he guest-starred as intern “Corbett,” smitten with his boss—then smote by a creepy ghost. The young Canadian was [...]
Clark Gilmore got the boot last week on America's Next Top Model, and later revealed that she was still recovering from rhinoplasty during the show. She remains close with Elina and Lauren Brie, according to E! Online.
Parma's own Mike Mizanin is a reality star turned grappler, but he's also a big fan of One Tree Hill. In fact, The Miz keeps Bethany Joy Galeotti (Haley) tunes on his iPod!
Familiar faces are returning! Both Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty have lined up more episodes of 90210, and Jason Priestley will direct later this season. Ernest Waddell (Peyton's long-lost brother, Derek) is also visiting One Tree Hill for awhile.
CW QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
"My business is based on one simple concept: Never tell
yourself 'no.' There
used to be a time, if you didn't have the money to buy something, you didn't
buy it. My mother calls those the Dark Ages." —Morgan (Jeff
Hephner), explaining
