In The CW’s Golden Globe nominated comedy series Jane The Virgin, Andrea Navedo plays Xiomara, Jane’s (Gina Rodriguez) young and hip mom, who wants her daughter to have all the opportunities she wasn’t given.
Navedo is enjoying a thriving career. The Puerto Rican beauty has garnered glowing accolades for her role as Xiomara Villanueva. She recently accepted the 2015 Imagen Award for Best Supporting TV Actress as well as the Elizabeth Pena Breakthrough Artist Award at the 2015 HOLA Awards.
She portrayed Debbie Dominguez on the hit series, How to Make It In America and recurred heavily on the various Law & Order shows. She has also starred in films such as Superfast, Once Upon a Time in Queens alongside Paul Sorvino, as well as the romantic drama Remember Me, opposite Robert Pattinson. Navedo will next be seen in the David Ayer and Max Landis feature Bright opposite Will Smith.
Navedo is a Bronx native. She divides her time between New York and Los Angeles where she lives with her husband and two kids. In her spare time, she loves taking salsa lessons and enjoys hiking and camping with her family.
