In The CW’s new drama series The Carrie Diaries, Chloe Bridges stars as Donna LaDonna, the leader of the popular girls “The Jens.” Donna also happens to be a rival to Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) and has set her sights on Sebastian (Austin Butler.)
Bridges first became interested in acting at age 11, when she heard an ad on the radio for acting classes in her hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. Already active in many creative extracurricular activities such as piano, dance, art, and gymnastics, acting seemed like a natural addition. She quickly became enamored with it, and in September 2004, Bridges and her mom moved to Los Angeles so she could pursue her career in acting.
Upon arriving in Los Angeles, Bridges nailed her first pilot audition in October 2004, landing a recurring role as Lisa Kudrow’s stepdaughter, Franchesca, in the television series The Comeback, co-produced and co-written by Kudrow and Michael Patrick King, formally of Sex and the City success. However, she left the project a few months later, after landing a more substantial series regular role, starring as Zoey, the niece of Freddie Prinze Jr., in Freddie.
This was followed by a role in The Longshots, alongside Keke Palmer and Ice Cube, and a string of television appearances, including guest starring roles on such hit shows as Suburgatory and New Girl, a recurring arc on the CW’s 90210, and the leading role in the MTV original movie Worst.Prom.Ever. She is perhaps best known for being seen with the Jonas Brothers in Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.
She also has three upcoming independent feature films: Family Weekend, a family comedy in which she stars opposite Kristen Chenoweth, Shirley Jones and Matthew Modine, Mantervention, a romantic comedy in which she appears as the female lead, and Nightlight, a horror film from producer Michael London.
Bridges currently resides in New York.
