Craig Melvin

Craig Melvin serves as a principal anchor for the syndicated run of Dateline and is a national correspondent for Today, previously anchoring MSNBC Live on Saturdays and Sundays on MSNBC. Melvin serves as a correspondent and fill-in anchor across NBC News and MSNBC properties. Melvin has covered a wide-range of breaking news events, including the unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, the Republican and Democratic National Conventions, the Asiana Airlines 214 crash in July 2013, the George Zimmerman trial, the aftermath of the deadly tornado in Moore, Oklahoma, the Sandy Hook school shooting, and a series of reports on the future of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Since joining NBC News and MSNBC, Melvin has also conducted several news-maker and celebrity interviews including Feidin Santana, eyewitness to the 2015 Walter Scott shooting, and Nicki Minaj’s pre-Super Bowl halftime performance interview.
