Matt Lanter

as Liam Court

Matt Lanter is currently shaking things up as bad boy Liam Court on The CW’s 90210.

In addition to 90210, Lanter continues his work on the Cartoon Network series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, as the voice of Anakin Skywalker, a role he also played in the feature film of the same name. Lanter will soon be seen in the horror film Sorority Row and the psychological thriller The Roommate.

Born in northeastern Ohio, Lanter moved with his family to Atlanta, Georgia, when he was eight years old. In Atlanta, he spent much of his time playing baseball, football and golf. His love for baseball led him to a position as a batboy with the Atlanta Braves and later, while studying at the University of Georgia, Lanter developed an interest in the film and television industry.

After briefly working as a model, Lanter decided to move to Los Angeles to follow his dream of establishing a successful acting career. The leap of faith turned out to be quite worthwhile, and after landing roles on TV shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, CSI, Life, Big Love, Monk, as well as the feature film, Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius, he built a solid foundation.

Often recognized for his series regular role as Geena Davis’ son on Commander in Chief, Lanter has also had recurring roles on Heroes, and Shark. His talent surpasses the ability to solely act for TV and film and on stage, Matt had the opportunity of starring in his theatrical debut opposite Laurence Fishburne in Alfred Uhry’s Without Walls at The Mark Taper Forum.

Lanter’s films include the horror film Sorority Row, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Disaster Movie and Wargames 2: The Dead Code. Prior to that, he established himself as a tween heartthrob, playing the lead in the film The Cutting Edge: Chasing the Dream.

Outside of acting, Lanter actively supports the Alzheimer’s Association and has participated in various events for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (one of which was a celebrity dodgeball team promoting the premiere of Ben Stiller’s movie, Dodgeball, in which the proceeds also went to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation) and the Nautica Malibu Triathlon where he was part of the Commander in Chief celebrity relay team.

Lanter currently resides in Los Angeles.
