In The CW’s new drama, Reign, Toby Regbo plays Prince Francis, the French king’s dashing son, who has an arranged engagement with Mary, Queen of Scots.

Born in England, Regbo attended the Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith.  His interest in acting began with school plays and he later attended the Young Blood Theatre Company.  Regbo started out with a small role in the BBC TV film Sharpe’s Challenge.

Regbo recently completed filming for Uwantmetokillhim?, alongside Jamie Winstone and Jamie Blackley.  Regbo will also play the lead in the indie film Burden, based on the novel of the same name by Tony Walters.

Regbo has also appeared in the feature films Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 1; Someday This Pain Will Be Useful to You; Glorious 39; Mr. Nobody, opposite Juno Temple, Jared Leto and Diane Kruger; and One Day, alongside Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess.

Regbo’s television credits include Sky One’s two-part adaptation of Treasure Island, co-starring Eddie Izzard, Elijah Wood and Philip Glenister and the ITV drama The Town, alongside Julia McKenzie, Charlotte Riley, Gerard Kearns, Kelly Adams and Martin Clunes.

Regbo made his stage debut in 2009 in Polly Stenham’s Tusk Tusk at the Royal Court Theatre in England, to rave reviews.

He currently resides in London, England.
