Katie Cassidy has landed the role of 'Dinah Lance' (aka Black Canary), opposite Stephen Amell, in The CW's Green Arrow fall pilot, Arrow. The 25-year-old beauty has been a network fixture in Supernatural, Melrose Place and Gossip Girl. Arrow cast also includes Susanna Thompson (NCIS) as Oliver Queen's mother and David Ramsey (Dexter) as a Queen confidante, TVLine reports.
Kristin Kreuk returns to The CW in one of the lead roles for drama pilot Beauty and the Beast. The actress memorably played 'Lana Lang' for seven seasons on Smallville. Ian Somerhalder may play a bad-boy monster on The Vampire Diaries, but off-screen he's a passionate defender of animal life. He'll receive the prestigious Wyler Award next month at the Humane Society of America's 26th annual Genesis Awards ceremony. Ian is being honored for his committed efforts using traditional and social media to campaign about critical animal welfare issues.
