Kelly Perine stars as Duane Odell Knox, Flex's best friend and neighbor, on the comedy series One on One.
Television viewers may recognize Perine for his recurring roles on The Drew Carey Show, For Your Love, Providence and Cuts.
A native of State College, Pennsylvania, Perine has been in and around theatre since birth. Because his father was a staple in local community theatre productions, Perine began watching performances as a toddler and was on stage by the age of five.
Perine's love of acting kept him busy performing in numerous theatres around Pennsylvania. His high school days were spent at Lake Forest Academy on the North Shore of Chicago, where he was not only active in school plays, but also got his first taste of show business while doing work as an extra for numerous productions shooting in the city.
After graduating from Pomona College with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies, Perine went on to receive his Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of California at Irvine.
His additional TV credits include guest starring roles on E.R., Seinfeld, The Practice, Living Single and Mad About You. He was a series regular on Between Brothers and The Parent 'Hood. Perine's recent film work includes Gas, The Dating Games People Play, Adventures of Johnny Tao: Rock Around the Dragon and National Lampoon's Totally Baked: A Potumentary.
Perine has been featured in national advertising campaigns for AT&T, Callaway Golf Balls, Foot Locker, Kelly Tires, Motel 6, Wendy's, Toyota, Wausau Insurance and Pizza Hut.
When not acting, Perine provides the lead vocals and lyrics for his funk rock band Birthday Suit. He also enjoys golfing, collecting Zippo lighters and spending time with his dogs Casper and Rio, whom he rescued from a shelter.
