Xander Berkeley has been added to the cast of CW action pilot Nikita as the assassin-in-training's unscrupulous leader. The actor has decades of TV and film credits, but perhaps is best known as the former CTU boss on 24.

Award-winning Broadway actress Kathleen Chalfant will play the crotchety grandmother of Sean Faris' love interest in The CW's drama pilot, Wyoming. The 65-year-old Tony nominee has been featured on Rescue Me and The Guardian.

Is The Justice Society returning to Smallville? Speaking at a Comic-Con in Seattle this past week, Geoff Johns said the heroes do appear at the end of this season. And, incidentally, the awesome 2-hour Absolute Justice movie will air again on a special night, Thursday, May 20.

Pestilence is coming to Supernatural. Matt Frewer will portray the Horseman who creates and spreads disease, beginning in episode 20. Matt burst onto TV screens in 1987 as the title character of groundbreaking sci-fi series Max Headroom.
