Cobie Smulders plays Robin on the television series How I Met Your Mother. Smulders' television credits include a lead role on Veritas: The Quest and a recurring role on The L Word, as well as appearances on Andromeda, Smallville, Tru Calling, Jeremiah and Special Unit 2.
Cobie spent her 2011 summer hiatus working on the film The Avengers. She stars as "Shield" Agent Maria Hill alongside an all-star cast including Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Downey Jr. Her other feature film credits include The Long Weekend, Grassroots and The Slammin' Salmon.
In 2010, she starred in Nora and Delia Ephron's off-Broadway hit Love, Loss, and What I Wore. A portion of the production’s proceeds benefited Dress for Success, a charity that provides work clothing and job support for low-income women. Her additional theater credits include Singing in the Rain, Grease and Women and Wallace. She attended a Shakespeare workshop in London in 2007.
Cobie enjoys snowboarding, skiing, yoga and speaks fluent French.
